Spring 2004

Dear Partners, 

It is our hearts desire to share with you these updates and praise reports that have taken place over the last few months. God has been so good to us! 

Because of your continued prayers the Champion Ministries Jr. Drag Bike Racing Team is back on the drag strip proclaiming Jesus is Lord. Until things are resolved with the AHDRA, a new league was formed. There are children from many different states now competing on a monthly basis. (We have enclosed a picture of our team at a recent race during Myrtle Beach Bike Week in South Carolina).  

In James 1:27 we are instructed to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. The Word tells us that this is pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father. Because of your support, Champion Ministries is able to help widows and orphans on a monthly basis. You are also continuing to help families that are in need.

More lives are being touched as people become born again, healed and delivered. A request came in to conduct a funeral. The message was from Luke chapter 7 about life meeting death in the city of Nain. At the closing of the graveside service an invitation was extended to accept Jesus by confessing the sinner’s prayer.  There were over 50 souls that repeated that prayer. 

On a recent trip I went to the cashier to pay for a tank of gas. When I arrived I was told that it was taken care of.  Praise God! As I left to go the vehicle someone standing there said I should check my tires. I explained that I had just done that down the road but they insisted I do it again. I complied and as I was re-checking everything a woman pulled up in a truck. She rolled down her window and started crying and telling me that her mother was dying in a hospital. The doctors didn’t expect her to make it very much longer and she was on her way to the hospital. Now I knew why I was to check the tires again. We prayed the prayer of faith together. It is not uncommon for divine appointments such as this to occur on our outreaches. 

We thank you, our partners, for your faithfulness. Together we are making a difference. You will never know how much your prayers are appreciated! As always, we speak blessings over your lives on a daily basis and agree with the Word of God concerning you. The Bible tells us in II Corinthians 9:11-12 that “you will be enriched in every way for great generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God; for the rendering of this service not only supplies the wants of the saints but also overflows in many thanksgivings to God”. Remember, your best days are in front of you. Be encouraged in Christ, you are more than a champion!
